Hi guys, ready for some rapid fire goodness? Let’s get to it.
I’ve had Beyonce’s new album "act ii: Cowboy Carter" playing nearly nonstop this week and it is absolutely worth your time to listen to the entire record from start to finish. The blurring of genres is creatively inspiring, and it’s a landmark album for the Black community. Case in point: my middle school aged Black son and I have loved listening to it together, and his Social Studies teacher used it as a chance for the class to study notable African Americans during the Wild West era in U.S. history. He is researching Madam C.J. Walker, the first female self-made millionaire in America. Isn’t that the coolest assignment? I love teachers.
