Summer is starting to wind down here and, I’ll be honest, this type B mama is ready for structure and schedule. Our big family update is that we got a new puppy a few weeks ago, joining the chaos of the three chickens, two parakeets, one dog, and five children that already existed. We’re not completely off our rockers — the puppy will be trained as a service dog for one of our kids. But for now, she is… just a puppy. With puppy needs. And puppy behavior. God help us all.
Since summer has me scraping together brain cells (as I edited this piece I realized I had forgotten the word “brain” in that sentence, which proves the point nicely), I thought I would round up an expansive list of recommendations for you in lieu of trying to make any sense on my own.
