Just came across your work and love our shared interest in working the metaphors offered up by resilient landscapes. I also absolutely love that Waxahatchee album!
Navigating fresh grief of the death of a beloved family member, I am consoled by this reflection on transformation. Thanks, Shannon. Taking these images to prayer.
New subscriber here. Thanks for your thoughts - and so many great links! Had some similar thoughts this weekend on a country drive through rolling hills of gray brush, dead grass, and mud. In two weeks those hills will be verdant green, and in two more covered in the first wildflowers. It doesn't seem possible. Praying my gray, frozen insides come alive as well. Thanks again for your lovely reflection.

Yesss. 12/10 will hit up the mall to eat soft pretzels and talk about all of this!
What an awesome book!

Oh that's amazing! Thank you so much for the work you do, Hannah.
Waxahatchee's "Fire" is sooooo good.

Oh Sara. You have my most sincere prayers.
THANK YOU, beautiful (inside and out) Shannon, for today’s post - Innocent of Fool? Just what I needed on this overcast winter day in NYC!
❤️🙏

I'm glad! Hope it's a lovely one, Carol.
The mystery of growth and transformation, they mystery of the seed...so many things to ponder in these winter months.
The metaphors that never quit!
