Beautiful! I love this! Birds are signs. I always look up their meaning.

I live in the country and play that same thought game all the time. And I know it's pretty much always a turkey vulture, but I still hold out hope for an eagle!

Love the reflection of a fertile mind. And the story of a boy, a bird, a boy’s God, and a boy’s mother. “It’s all miracle or it’s nothing.”

I so appreciate how your words resonate; touch my soul.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who confuses those birds. Am I in awe or not? (But, have you been up close to turkey vultures? They truly are awe inspiring too, in an awe-ful sort of way)

Miracle or not? Every time I experience what some friends would so easily, so confidently proclaim as a Holy Spirit moment…I may gasp with awe, have faith, and yet a piece of me wonders…Blessed? Awe? Or just a coincidence?

I believe, Lord help me in my unbelief.

New mantra. “It’s a miracle or it’s nothing.”

Everything: a miracle or nothing…

I’m actually a bit more in awe of turkey vultures than eagles, maybe it’s my counter-cultural impulse? Turkey vultures can digest nasty bacteria without harm and don’t pretend to be majestic. Eagles are supposed to be amazing, but are still part scavenger—overhyped imo.

And the more you look, the better you’ll get at telling the difference.

Crows are also quite fascinating, but of all the common birds, I love the cardinals and chickadees and nuthatches best.

Blessings for your boy who was led by a bird, and for the mama who encourages him to notice. 💕
