This was really lovely. I also felt connected to other places and parts of creation through your monarch story. This spring I planted several butterfly milkweed plants. During the summer we noticed monarch caterpillars all over one of the plants in front of our house. Several of them built their chrysalises under our porch and we were able to watch them emerge. So maybe some of the butterflies that originated in my woods ended up in your woods on their way to México!
Loved this SO much. I've been working on this (weird) piece about stars so that line knocked me between the eyes! (And thanks for the essay love - forever right back at you.)
the way of the monarch
beautiful!
“things made of stars cannot be domesticated” - I need a print. ✨

I loved this piece. Your Saturday writing is my favorite thing to read while staying in bed a little longer.
Wow! Provocative without being offensive.. An original take on personal choice. Lots to ponder.
